Reply with quote | #1 | Hi NEMOA's
We are thinking about doing a simple contest on our web site.
"Enter your email address to have a chance to win a Leather Briefcase!"
Does anyone know the basic rules that we need to comply with to make our contest legal?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Reply with quote | #2 | Hi Andy. Our firm is counsel to NEMOA, and Janie sometimes notifies me when people post questions that she thinks we might be able to answer. We do a lot of work in the sweepstakes area for our clients. We have a couple of sets of basic rules that we use that cover the necessary bases. There are a few key areas that you need to be sure you cover. Drop me a note directly, and I can walk you through it. |

Reply with quote | #3 | Hi Andy- I had some experience with sweepstakes during my tenure at Ross-Simons. We used a company called The Marketing Agency to handle our sweepstakes legal. The contact is David Kramer and his email is:

Good luck. Cindy |
